Filomena Romano Raich '24 died July 17, 2004, in Lebanon, N.H. She taught in Troy, N.H., and New Britain, Conn., and then in West Lebanon, N.H. until 1941.She earned a bachelor's degree at Columbia and master's degree at Boston University, and taught for many years in the Midwest before retiring as a school guidance counselor.
Vanda Saguinetti Steele '31 died Sept. 28, 2004. She earned a doctorate at Adelphi University and taught in New England and New York, including Oceanside (N.Y.) elementary schools until retiring at age 70. She sang arias and played classical piano for an NBC radio program, and was an accomplished organist. She also received many awards for regional choral and band performances.
Esther Rickard Pollard '33 died July 13, 2004, in Newport, N.H. She was a soloist in church choirs and taught piano lessons privately. At age 83 she became the oldest member of the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen for her hand-woven blankets, place mats, and Shaker rugs.
Robert H. Domina '35 died Sept. 9, 2004, in Swanzey, N.H. He was an industrial arts teacher, guidance counselor, and special education administrator in the Amherst, Mass., public schools for 40 years.
Andrew Schricker '41 passed away Sept. 11, 2004, in Epsom, N.H. He taught for 14 years and then was a salesman for Markem Corp. for 25 years.
Lois Dowd '42 passed away Dec. 23, 2002.
George H. Taylor '50 died July 14, 2004, in Concord, N.H. He earned a master's degree at SUNY-Oswego and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He taught for 27 years at KSC as associate professor in graphic arts and drafting.
Irene Terill Warner '53 passed away Aug. 23, 2004. She spent her life teaching and caring for children in the Room for One More Adoption Program, Health and Human Services in Florida, and the Solve House for Unwed Mothers.
Patricia Potter Meserve '55 died Aug. 25, 2004, in Titusville, Fla. She earned a master's degree at Plymouth State and taught in Gorham and Berlin for 34 years, retiring in 1995.
Sandra "Sandy" Brown '73 died June 25, 2004, in Concord, N.H. She was a professional skier and certified PSIA ski instructor for professional athletes for 20 years at Stowe, Vt.; Vail, Colo.; and, most recently, Killington (Vt.) ski area. She was also a Coast Guard captain and piloted racing yachts in Newport, R.I.
Louise O'Sullivan M '86 died Sept. 9, 2004, in Peterborough, N.H. Her life's work was advocating for children and parents in ConVal school district as a social worker within the schools. She was the recipient of many awards for her activities in countless community organizations.
Jacob Bergeron '04 died Sept. 29, 2004, in Brattleboro, Vt. He did computer work at home for a management group in Boston and worked at the KSC Help Desk from 1999 to 2004.
