Inda M. Gill died in June 2003 at age 92. She had been living in Gloucester, Mass. She earned a bachelor's degree at Boston University and a master's degree in public health from MIT. She was public health supervisor at KSC from 1936 until her retirement in 1975.
Abbie Shea Brown '24 died April 23, 2003, in Jaffrey, N.H. She taught grades 1-8 in New Ipswich, and spent 30 years at Jaffrey Grade School. Her career spanned 43 years.
Clelia Bruno Lomazzo '27 passed away May 5, 2003, in Manchester, N.H. She was an elementary school teacher in Manchester, owned and operated High Grade Upholstery Company for 20 years, and was proprietor of Hollywood Motel and Young's Motel at Hampton Beach.
Eleanor Palmer Pelton '28 died May 12, 2003 in Parrish, Fla. She was a schoolteacher for many years.
Allace Hoyt Potter '30 died April 29, 2003, at her home in Concord, N.H. She attended Boston University and taught in Andover, Derry, and Concord. She ran the Peter Rabbit Nursery School in Concord for 25 years.

Isabel Call Johnson '31, B.Ed.'60 died in 2003 in Keene. She taught in Westmoreland and Keene elementary schools for 20 years and worked at National Grange Insurance Company for several years.
Frances Clark Wirkkala '32 passed away May 1, 2003, in Lempster, N.H. She taught more than 30 years in Lempster, Goshen, Sunapee, Langdon, Unity, and Newport, N.H.
Our sympathy goes out to the family of Harriet Anderson Blaisdell of Minneapolis, Minn. Harriet died on Jan. 24, 2003. She grew up in the Manchester, N.H., area and was an elementary school teacher. She leaves two daughters, six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Dorothy Britton Day '35, B.Ed.'41 died May 1, 2003, in Haverhill, N.H. She had been a teacher at Symonds and Jonathan Daniels schools in Keene.
Nona Haynes Philbrick '35, a lifelong resident of Rye, N.H., died April 14, 2003. She taught English and Latin for 38 years in the Portsmouth school system.
Helen E. Amazeen '37 died June 10, 2003, at Exeter Healthcare, Inc. She resided in Plaistow, N.H., for many years, moving to East Kingston in 1946. She taught school in Kingston and Brentwood, N.H., for more than 30 years.
Beatrice A. Judkins '37 died April 11, 2003, in Meredith, N.H. She earned her master's degree at Columbia University and taught home economics at Littleton (N.H.) High School and Quimby School in Center Sandwich, N.H. She was the national program director of the extension service for the Department of Agriculture in Washington, D.C., from 1957 until her retirement in 1976.
Arline Lund Gerbrands '37 passed away in Sarasota, Fla., on March 3, 2003. She earned a master's degree at Boston University and did doctoral work at the University of Florida. She taught at Fruitville Elementary School until her retirement.
Helen Thomas Chase '39 passed away May 19, 2003, in Randolph, Vt. She taught high school English in Hancock and Bethel and adult basic education in Randolph, and she was librarian at Whitcomb High School in Bethel. With her husband, Henry, she owned Curtis Agency, selling real estate until retiring.
Florence Bergeron Terrian '42, a lifelong resident of Manchester, N.H., died May 20, 2003. She was a fifth-grade teacher at Jewett Street School in Manchester for more than 20 years before her retirement.
Eileen M. Roy '48 died June 25, 2003, in Laconia, N.H. She was an elementary school teacher for 35 years in Laconia, retiring in 1993.
Bertha Tonseth Gleason '50 died May 4, 2003, at her home in Munsonville, N.H. She was a library assistant for the Dublin school district and worked at Trikeenan Tile Works and Granite Lake Pottery
Catherine L. Noonan '52 died April 23, 2003 in Sarasota, Fla. She earned a master's degree and doctorate at Columbia University and taught in elementary schools in New Hampshire, New York, Connecticut, California, France, and Turkey. She was also on the faculties of San Francisco State College and UNH.
June True Burton M'58 passed away March 22, 2003, in New London, Conn. She was a registered nurse at Brigham and Women's Hospital and a private-duty nurse, and she taught nursing in Keene. She later taught elementary school and was a school nurse for many years, retiring in 1982.
Cynthia B. Houghton '59 died in Westmoreland, N.H. She taught at Canal Street School in Brattleboro, Vt., and Tiny Tots Kindergarten in Chesterfield, N.H. She was Chesterfield town librarian from 1960 to 1964.
Robert A. Clemons '63 died July 7, 2003, in Nashua, N.H., following a courageous battle with cancer. He served in the Peace Corps in Liberia in 1963-65 and then in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He earned two master's degrees at Rivier College and taught in Chelmsford, Mass., for 32 years until his retirement in 2000.
Donna Nims Rice '68 died in April 2003 in Brattleboro, Vt. She was a kindergarten teacher in Westminster, Vt., and a clerk in the Westminster post office.
Jane Abbott Barry M'71 died May 18, 2003. She was an honors graduate of Middlebury College and taught French, Latin, and English in Enfield, New London, Peterborough, and Marlboro, N.H. She taught at Keene High School for 20 years before retiring in 1982. She published Growing up on Abbot Hill, her memoir of life in Wilton, N.H. in the early 20th century. With the Russell family, she donated 800 acres to become the Russell-Abbott State Forest. Jane was active in Middlebury alumni affairs, the Historical Society of Cheshire County, the AAUW, and Friends of Keene Public Library. She was married to Fred L. Barry '36, for whom the Barry Alumni Center is named. She is survived by sons John '71 and James '77.
Sister Roseann LaBounty M'75 passed away June 27, 2003, in Windham, N.H. A Sister of Mercy for 50 years, she taught at the elementary, secondary, and college levels in Manchester and Nashua. She was director of the distance education program at Castle College in Windham and taught computer classes at St. Christopher School in Nashua.
Jeffrey T. King '83 died in a car accident July 12, 2002.
Heidi Diers-Spiegel '84 passed away after a long battle with cancer. She worked in telecommunications and as a medical office manager. She was vice president of Spiegel Electric Co. Heidi lived for the past 17 years in Eastham, Mass. She leaves behind her husband, Jeffrey, and two daughters, Brooke and Heather.
