Phyllis Ross writes: Anna Arnell Hirst passed away on Nov. 1, 2002, in Ashland, Ore. She taught school in Antrim and Lincoln, N.H., and in Windsor, Vt., and later returned to teaching while living in Neenah, Wis. She and her husband moved to Ashland, where she became active in the library, a book club, the Citizens League, the Shakespeare Festival, aerobics classes, and a biweekly bridge group. Anna and I have been friends since attending Keene Teachers College and teaching together. I will miss her letters and her visits.

Christmas generally brings a bit of news from some classmates, and this past year was no exception. A letter from Ruth Blodgett Washburn described the busy life she and husband Don lead. These two certainly burn up the roadways from Florida to Massachusetts to Ontario to Vancouver and back again. Happy travels, Washburns!
This will be in print after our 55th Reunion and I trust all went well. A Christmas note from Joyce Chickering Jernberg told of her and Marjorie "Maggie" Parker's plan to attend together and then take a trip to Ireland. I hope we will hear more.
