Helen Kimball Houston and her son Theodore Houston Jr. were the subject of an interesting article in the Manchester Union Leader. A 137-year-old Penacook Academy building was under renovation when funding for the project became uncertain. Helen and her son offered to pay for restoration of the cupola, which added shiny new copper siding and repaired a wooden section. They donated the funds in honor of Theodore's father, who had attended the academy, was a school board member, and had been honored with the Outstanding Citizen Award in Boscawen, N.H. Helen joined other alumni at Reunion 2003 on May 31. She represented the Class of 1924 in the Golden Circle photo and received an orchid corsage from Norma Wright Walker '51.
