Margaret (Grover) Colburn wrote that she was delighted to see Don Carle's picture in the magazine. He encouraged Margaret to attend Keene Normal School. Margaret will be 100 on her next birthday. She was videotaped at her home by Dr. Larry Benaquist, film studies professor, for the project Oral History of Keene State for the centennial celebration in 2009. Margaret invited Larry and Norma (Wright) Walker '51 for lunch. Deering residents recently invited Margaret to share her memories of teaching at the North Deering School. She was only 19 when she started teaching eight grades in a one-room schoolhouse.

Elizabeth (Harrison) Thomas was also videotaped by Larry for his project. She looked very pretty wearing a green suit and the Golden Circle medallion. Betty will be 102 in April.

Viola (Davis) Horton enjoyed the latest issue of Keene State Today. It reminded her of the days she spent at Keene Normal School. She read the entire issue.
