Class Notes 1990

From Maureen: Angela Wright '88 wrote to fill me in on her news. She and husband, Chris Heatley, live in Eagle Bridge, N.Y., with their two sons. They purchased a 150-year-old farmhouse and are in the process of restoring it. Angie most recently was teaching Russian at a high school outside of Troy, N.Y., and is close to finishing her master's degree in Spanish linguistics from SUNY Albany.

Marc Pearlman and his wife, Amy, announce the birth of their third child, Cole Jared Pearlman, born May 20, 2004. Cole joins siblings Alyssa and Jack.

Kim Chadbourne Hitchcock and husband, Bill, announce the birth of their second child, Kate Elizabeth, born May 14, 2004. Kate joins big brother Ryan.

Juanita Suarez-Espino lives on Martha's Vineyard with her husband, Modesto, and their two children, Ramon and Aidee. Juanita is a special education teacher at Martha's Vineyard Regional High School.

From Maureen:I still live in Whitman, Mass., with my husband, Patrick, and our two children, Katharine and Owen. I've been a real-estate paralegal for as long as I can remember, and I'm wondering if this 15-year real-estate boom is ever going to crash!

Speaking of 15 years, did you know that our 15-year reunion is coming up in June of '05? This is a reminder to all of you to start planning to come back to Keene next June. I have attended numerous reunions over the years, and they never fail to be a great time. The best years were always when plans were made with a group of friends to attend together, and anyone else we ran into was a pure bonus. Start lining up the babysitters!"

Brian Cattabriga is teaching math at Hyannis Middle School on Cape Cod. He is married and has two boys, Nicholas, 2, and Jon, 3.

Brian Jenkins was recently named art director of UMass magazine, the alumni magazine for the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

1992

From Debbie Germain Dotson: "I have been married to my husband, Steve, a captain in the USMC, for almost 10 years, and have enjoyed the opportunity to live in many different places throughout his military career, including Okinawa, Japan. We currently live in Chesapeake, Va., only 20 miles from Virginia Beach, and have plenty of room for visitors. Steve returned in October from an eight-month deployment aboard the USS Iwo Jima in support of operations in Iraq and Liberia. I am a stay-at-home mom and am very busy with our three children. Matthew is 7, William is 6, and Katherine is 2. It was a very long eight months without dad! I still keep in touch with many friends and EPY sisters, but would enjoy hearing from Deania Parham '90, Shannon Marchetti, and Heather Robertson. Don't forget the invite to the beach. 619 Blackthorne Ct., Chesapeake, VA 23322, smdotson@earthlink.net."

From Kristen Olsen: I have asked to have my name taken off the class secretary list. Unfortunately I have been too busy lately to keep up with it. I will still send information when I have it, but probably not regularly. My new e-mail address is kristen.olsen@comcast.net, and here are my notes.

Babies, babies, babies. It seems like all of my old College buddies are waist deep in diapers and formula. Congratulations to my favorite new moms!

Carol Johnson and her husband, Rob Murdeau, welcomed Megan Kathleen into their hearts and home on November 15, 2003. Carol is feeling great and excited to be a mom.

Michelle Pettee and her husband, Tim Joslin '93, became first-time parents to twin girls on February 24, 2004. Abigail Brooks and Katherine Eliza are adorable and keeping Michelle and Tim very busy.

My college roommate Erica Guiffre and her husband, Bob Reed, had twins on March 10, 2004. Lucy Elizabeth and Elena Lindsey join big sister Abigail to fill the Reed home.

I wonder if Megan, Abigail, Katherine, Lucy, and Elena will all meet up on Huntress 1 North where their moms all met? Cheers to the future KSC class of 2022!

Elisa is teaching at Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach, but she is staying home until September to take care of our daughter Lucy, who was born on October 21, 2003. Still missing Keene immensely, however. Shout out to my fools, I will see you soon. Anyone else, please drop me a line!"
