30th Reunion – June 4-6, 2004

Bruce Stronach, provost and chief operating officer at Becker College, has been named acting president of the institution after the president passed away in April 2003. Bruce, a native of Oakland, Maine, earned his B.A. in history and an M.A. and Ph.D. at Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. He began as provost at Becker in 1997. Before that, he was the dean and a professor of Japanese studies at the International University of Japan. He lived abroad for almost 20 years and is considered an expert on Asian politics and culture. He has authored a number of books on Japan and its relationship with the West.

Marie Driscoll Frash writes, "Still have dual residency, spending the winters in Florida and the summers in Indiana. Am owner and operator of a clean landfill. Vacations have been spent riding my Harley Heritage Softail in and around the USA, as well as Australia."

1976

How are we all doing out there? Here it is December already. Where did the year go? Still living in the great state of Connecticut but am starting to get ideas about joining the snowbirds in Florida for a month or so during the winter. Oh well, by the time you read this, it will be warm again. How about starting to think about Reunion 2004? It's always a good time.

Jean Tacy, of Keene, writes, "My son, Larry Lombardi '77, and two granddaughters, Shane Lombardi '98 and Deanna Lombardi '01, all graduated from KSC."

1978

Lynn R. Marinone, of Windsor Locks, Conn., is a fifth-grade teacher at Blueberry School in Longmeadow, Mass. She is married to William Marinone '79.

25th Reunion – June 4-6, 2004

Judith Cramer is associate professor of communications, journalism, and media studies at St. John's University and lives in Northport, N.Y. She is author of several scholarly articles, including "Reaching Up, Reaching Out: Mentoring Women in Journalism and Mass Communication Education," a chapter in the forthcoming book The Search for Equity: Women in Journalism and Mass Communication Education – A 30-Year Update.

Susan Ellis Pisano, of Seattle, Wash., writes, "Hi Bill! I hear from MJ that you're the new guy! I'd love to go to our 25th Reunion, but how come a 'teachers' college has Reunions during the school year? I could never figure this out. Heaven forbid we teach outside a 200-mile radius of Keene. Take care."
