From Jeff: It's update time again. How quickly time passes. Was it just three months ago I was writing to you to let you know to save May 30 – June 1 for our 15th Reunion? Have you marked your calendar yet? By the time these notes reach you, we'll be well into winter, which means Reunion Weekend will be a mere 5 months away. I do hope you are making plans to attend, as the weekend offers many opportunities to reunite, reminisce, and rekindle friendships. There will be plenty of events to keep us busy, as well as a special class get-together at some point during the weekend. You should receive details sometime in early spring.

For now, enjoy the following news from our classmates: Congratulations to Chuck Oldham who graduated from Arizona State School of Law in May 2002 with honors in both academics and advocacy. Those needing legal advice or, better yet, wanting to keep in touch with Chuck should drop him a line at lawbound02@yahoo.com. Chuck and Dana purchased their first home in Tempe, so it looks as though they'll be there a while. Of particular note to TKE brothers, should you find yourself in Arizona, there is always a place to stay at Chuck's! He spent this past summer studying for the Arizona bar exam and began a yearlong clerkship with Justice Berch of the Arizona Supreme Court. He was offered a position with the Phoenix law firm of Mariscal, Weeks, McIntyre, and Friedlander, and while he has not yet decided what type of law he will practice, Chuck assures me he has various options to pursue. He mentioned he missed the tree dedication ceremony that took place back in May, honoring our classmate Eric White. He notes that from emails and pictures he has seen, the event would have made Jesse proud and says, "Well done to all involved."

Eric Weinraub emailed (ericwein@microsoft.com) to say he has just completed his first full year of employment at Microsoft, noting, "It is great to have a steady job with a successful company not filing for bankruptcy, laying persons off, or being investigated for fraud." Proud papa Eric says son Ben is now 2 years old and growing like a weed. Eric and his wife adopted Ben from Guatemala in September 2001. The growing family spent two weeks this past summer in Rye, N.H., with a swing through Keene on their way to Burlington, Vt.

Speaking of new arrivals, congratulations to Cathy (Ferrari) and Jack Webb '87, who welcomed daughter Ashleigh Gabrielle on July 31. She joins big brothers Tommy and Christopher at home in Glastonbury, Conn.

Susan VanDeventer Iverson and husband Yale welcomed their new daughter, Mia Nason, on July 13. Susan enjoyed a too-short maternity leave before returning to work part-time in September, while continuing doctoral studies at the University of Maine, where she also teaches a graduate class. For new mom Susan the best of every day is time with Mia.

As for myself – hey, there's always room for news about me – the second half of 2002 has been relatively quiet, although I did make a trip back east in July for a mini-family reunion, as well as a visit to Keene (always a must). If you have not been back to KSC in a while, you will be impressed by all the changes taking place on campus, including construction of new residential halls featuring apartment-style living, as well as the addition of a new recreation center to Spaulding Gymnasium.

Did I mention Reunion Weekend 2003 would be a perfect time to return to campus to see all the changes for yourself? Probably did, but worth another mention. Looking forward to seeing you all to celebrate our 15th Reunion.

Tammy Eppig Poitras called this morning, and asked me to pass along the good news – her little one actually came on her due date! Kelly Anne Poitras was born July 17, 2002, at 11:48 p.m., weighing 7 lbs., 13 oz. Both of them are doing well. Delivery was fairly easy – only 3 pushes after the water broke! Father is Kevin Poitras.
