A Way to Say Thank You
Why We Give
First in a series of profiles that make the case for Keene State College

Kelly and Scott met at Keene State and were married after they graduated in 1992. Kelly, a psychology major, works in Manchester at Webster House, a safe haven for children unable to live at home. Scott, a journalist, is assistant general manager for New Hampshire Public Radio in Concord. Kelly and Scott have twin sons, Will and Alex. Scott has remained actively involved with Keene State, serving on the Alumni Board and the magazine advisory board.

"The most important thing I learned at Keene State is not to underestimate myself. I am capable of a lot more than I ever thought I was and my experience here helped me to realize this. I give to Keene State College because I want to continue to support the quality of education that the college provides. I want to watch Keene State keep improving  as it has in the years since I graduated."

"I volunteer for the same reason that I contribute – to say thank you. I have so many wonderful memories of my time at Keene State, that volunteering is a way for me to stay connected and to remember the good times. I see Keene State College as a strong and vibrant institution where students like I was can develop as individuals and leaders. Whenever I visit the campus today, it brings back positive memories. I can't help but smile when I walk down Appian Way, even though it has changed so much since I graduated."
