Dear KSC Alumni and Friends,
It is with both excitement and sadness that I prepare to step down as Keene State College's president. Keene State is poised for the future and ready to receive the energy and vision of a new leader to guide it on its journey as New Hampshire's public liberal arts college. The entire and extended KSC community can take pride in the strong liberal education we offer to a broad cross-section of students in the arts, humanities, sciences, and professions.
As I help Keene State prepare for a transition in leadership, I am also preparing to leave a job I have loved and people whom I care a great deal about. The past 11 years have been the most challenging and rewarding in my life. At every step of the journey, I have had many to inspire me: students who complete degrees against all odds and who cross the graduation platform to the cheers of family members; faculty members, who never waiver in their commitment to student learning; staff members, who are always willing to go the extra mile; the untiring commitment of alumni who return to campus to share their stories and renew friendships; and trustees and community leaders, who insist that New Hampshire's public higher education be among the best in the country.
I thank you all for your inspiration and support. Though we have faced many challenges these past 11 years, we have done so together, an exceptionally strong community committed to the underlying purposes of public higher education. We have much to make us proud.
