Single-Line Analog Phones

HOLD	To Activate	While on active call, depress the SWITCHHOOK and dial #4. Hang up.
	To Cancel	Lift Handset. You will be automatically connected to your caller.
TRANSFER/CONFERENCE	To Activate	While on an active call, depress the SWITCHHOOK and dial the telephone number you wish to transfer to/add on (remember to dial 5 for outside numbers.) When the party answers, announce the call and press the SWITCHHOOK again. At this time, you may remain on the line or release the call.
FORWARD	To Activate	Lift Handset. Dial #1. Dial the extension number you wish to answer your calls. Hang up.
	To Cancel	Lift Handset. Dial #1. Hang up.
CALL PICKUP	To Use	Lift Handset and dial 1 plus 3.
MESSAGE WAITING	To Respond	If you have a message, the message indicator will be lit or you will hear a "stutter dial tone". Dial the mail system at 8-7777. Follow LOG ON procedures for Meridian Mail.
CALL SENDER	To Activate	While in Voice Mail and listening to a message, press 9 and Voice Mail will call the sender of the message. To Cancel When you are finished speaking to the sender, press the SWITCHHOOK and you will be back in Voice Mail.
	To Cancel	When you are finished speaking to the sender, press the SWITCHHOOK and you will be back in Voice Mail.

HOLD	To Activate	While on active call, depress the HOLD button.
	To Cancel	Depress the extension (your phone number) button.
RLS	To Activate	While on active call, depress the Rls button.
TRANSFER	To Activate	While on an active call, press TRANSFER. Dial the extension number of the person to whom you wish to transfer the call. You may wait for the phone to answer and announce the call (recommended) or you may press TRANSFER a second time to connect the call. You will no longer be on the call.
	To Cancel	If you wish to get the caller back without completing the TRANSFER, do not press TRANSFER the second time. Instead press your extension button and you will have the call back.
CONFERENCE	To Activate	While on an active call, press CONFERENCE. Dial the telephone number (remember 5 for outside numbers) you wish to add on. When the new party answers, announce the Conference and press CONFERENCE to join all parties. Repeat for up to six parties.
FORWARD	To Activate	Without lifting your handset, press FORWARD. The indicator will blink. Dial the extension number you wish to answer your calls (e.g. 8-7777 for Meridian Mail). Press FORWARD a second time. While active, the indicator next to FORWARD will remain steadily lit.
	To Cancel	Without lifting your handset, press FORWARD. The indicator will go off and you can now receive calls.
CALL PICKUP	To Use	When a telephone in your Pickup group rings, lift your handset and press CALL PICKUP if you have that specific key or dial 1,3. This allows you to answer the ringing telephone in your Pickup group.
SPEED CALL	To Program	Without lifting your handset, press SPEED CALL. The indicator will flash. Enter the 1-digit Speed Call Code (0 - 9). Enter the complete telephone number, including 5 if for outside access. Press SPEED CALL to save. Repeat for all Speed Call Codes.
	To Use	Lift handset. Press SPEED CALL and enter the 1-digit Speed Call Code. The number you programmed will be automatically dialed for you.
	To Change	If you wish to change one of the numbers on your list, just re-program that selection.
AUTO DIAL	To Program	Without lifting your handset, press AUTO DIAL. The indicator will flash. Enter the complete telephone number, including 5 if for outside access. Press AUTO DIAL to save. Repeat for each AUTODIAL button.
	To Use	Lift handset. Press AUTO DIAL. The number you programmed will be automatically dialed for you.
LAST NUMBER REDIAL	To Activate	Your telephone will automatically remember the LAST telephone number you dialed. To call that number again, lift handset and press your extension button.
MESSAGE	To Use	Watch for Message Waiting Indicator - a flashing Indicator means new voice mail messages have arrived and your message light will turn on. To call the Voice Mail system, lift handset and press MESSAGE or dial the Meridian Mail number ext. 8-7777. Follow the LOG ON instructions as prompted by the Meridian Mail system.

HOLD	To Activate	While on an active call, press the HOLD key. The light next to your extension will blink.
	To Cancel	Lift Handset. Depress extension button next to blinking indicator.
RLS	To Activate	To end an active call, press RLS. This has the same effect as "hanging up."
