Instructional Technology supports KSC faculty in the use and integration of technology in an educational setting. Technology liaisons help faculty understand the basics of how to use the software and applications available on campus, and give faculty guidance on how to make the software and applications a seamless part of their academic routine. Media support specialists are here to help faculty in their use of audio/visual technology on campus.

Technology is an evolving tool that can be used to enhance instruction and encourage critical thinking skills. The Instructional Technology team can help you incorporate technology into your course curriculum from start - applying for and winning a technology grant - to finish - successfully introducing that technology to your students.

Some applications and services available to Keene State faculty are:

  • Applications training

  • Blackboard online learning system

  • Professional Web site development

  • Instruction in the use of multimedia

  • School specific applications and hardware

    • For example: Geomatica software used for cartography lab
  • Media Support

  • Distance learning

Projects such as the video conferencing capabilities of Science 101, or the media systems in the dining commons and dorms have benefited from the knowledge of experts. Senior Media Specialist Steve Armstrong and Production Specialist Greg Prevost have helped to develop and implement projects such as these across campus, and are available to work with faculty on similar projects. Ensure the success of your next media installation by consulting with them on the project details.

Steve and Greg also provide support for campus media technology (sound and video) for campus events. Contact them through the HelpDesk at 8-2532 for support with your event or project.
