Participate in an engaging, interactive, small group exercise called “Cholesterol Park” to raise your health and wellness IQ! Cardiovascular disease is the number one cause of death in the United States. Cheshire County is no different with more than 125 County residents dying each year from heart disease and stroke. It is important to know, however, that these conditions are preventable. By eating healthier foods, being more physically active, avoiding tobacco and excessive alcohol, and following medical advice, including taking medications correctly, you can extend the length and quality of your life. Get motivated to take the first step toward taking greater responsibility for your health by learning about the importance of adopting a healthier lifestyle, lowering cholesterol, setting simple, achievable goals and working in partnership with your health care provider. Presenter: Linda Rubin - Cheshire Medical Ctr
