Fostering personal and professional growth in students at Keene State College is part of our liberal arts mission and is part of the IT organization. The IT Group supports this mission through technology support to the teaching & learning infrastructure on campus. But we also take a more direct role in this mission as well - through student technicians. Student technicians are the near the heart of our organization. With a lean HelpDesk staff, we rely on our student technicians to provide quality first-level support for campus technology inquiries. We hire student technicians with majors that range from Education to Music, to Computer Science.

Our HelpDesk priority, to provide the campus with exceptional customer service and quick resolution to technology issues, often is provided by student technicians trained to provide both components. By providing this training, in combination with real-life work experience, our technicians are able to document this work experience on their resume when they leave Keene State College. The IT Group provides a range of work and learning opportunities for students. Opportunities include work experience as a Public Lab Monitor, HelpDesk Support Technician, Specialized (department) Lab Support Technician and Media Event Support Technician.
