Connections for cable television access (CATV) are available in the campus residence hall rooms and in many Keene State academic settings. CATV provides on campus students with a way to watch their favorite television programs, and it is a vital component for many local access programs produced by students and aired for the greater Keene community.

Get Connected

Residence hall rooms are each equipped with one cable TV connection. Students living in the residence halls must share a TV with their roommates. Bring a cable ready TV and a coaxial cable in order to connect to the cable service in the rooms.

Cable Television Service

The cable connections are managed by the IT Group. The College has a service agreement with Time Warner Cable for a limited number of cable channels, which helps to keep the cost of the service affordable for the campus community. The campus channel line up is the same as Time Warner's standard service from channel 2 to channel 62. Channels 63 to 78 are local access programming.

Cable television service is designed for the use of a single electronics connection to the KSC faceplate. A single connection means students can connect using the following configuration: ONE television with ONE VCR/DVD attached (inline). Splitting the initial connection to run more than one device within the room can result in reception problems. Splitting the connection is also a violation of the College's contract with Time Warner and could jeopardize the cable contract.

Campus Movie Channel

The Residential Life Office (RLO) operates four campus movie channels, and the movie line-up is listed by semester on the RLO site. Every semester the Office asks students to vote for which movies they would like to see; so be sure to visit the site and cast your vote!

Please also talk with the RLO staff with any suggestions, comments, or concerns you might have about the campus cable service.

The College is not liable for interruptions or failures of the cable television service.
