Every institution faces the challenge of maintaining a healthy computer network to meet the needs of all the people using it. More computers connected to the Keene State College network means a greater chance of someone letting in malicious software (Malware) such as a virus or a worm, which could disable the entire network. The IT Group has installed software called Cisco Clean Access (CCA) as part of the network security plan. Students connected to the network through the residence hall connections are required to install the CCA agent software, McAfee anti-virus software and current Microsoft Windows critical updates on their computers.
