Cisco Clean Access Agent/Net ID

Every institution faces the challenge of maintaining a healthy computer network to meet the needs of all the people using it. More computers connected to the Keene State College network means a greater chance of someone letting in malicious software (Malware) such as a virus or a worm, which could disable the entire network. The IT Group has installed software called Cisco Clean Access (CCA) as part of the network security plan.

Students connected to the network through the residence hall connections are required to install the CCA agent software, McAfee anti-virus software and current Microsoft Windows critical updates on their computers.

To Install the CCA client:

  1. To download the CCA client, log into the VPN using your NetID using this format - STUDENT\NetID. New students should use their date of birth as their default password (ex. mmddyy or 01/06/89).

  2. Click on the CCA agent link to start the download.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
  1. McAfee is the only anti-virus software that is compatible with the CCA. Get your copy of McAfee VirusScan for PCs or ClamXav for Macs at the HelpDesk room 243 in Elliot Hall.
  2. CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD after the initial log in and CCA verification process. New students for Spring 08 should use their date of birth as their default password (ex. mmddyy or 01/06/89), and should create a complex password after that to keep their KSC accounts safe.
