How Big is my Mailbox?
Outlook 2007
- To determine the size of each of the components of your Mailbox in Outlook, right-click on your Mailbox icon-->Properties. Click the Folder Size button. Remember: Mailbox quotas are 1GB. 1024KB = 1MB and there are 1,024MB's in a gigabyte.

Outlook 2003
- To determine the size of each of the components of your Mailbox in Outlook, go to Tools-->Mailbox Cleanup. Click the View Mailbox Size button.

- You will see a tab for Local Data and a tab for Server Data. Server data is the amount of space which is counted against your mailbox quota. Data files stored on your computer, such as Offline Folder files, aren't as efficient as data stored on the server so the size of the data file on your computer will be larger than the reported mailbox size. Remember: Mailbox quotas are 1GB. 1024KB = 1MB and there are 1,024MB's in a gigabyte.
- If you need to clean out your Inbox or Sent Items folders, but don't want to delete them, drag and drop them into a Personal Folder.
