• Technology staff installing and becoming familiar with the new software
• Office Compatibility Pack deployed to KSC users
• Limited support available
• Assess and establish hardware requirements
• Establish groups of early adopters

Early Adopters Phase

Deploy to early adopters group
• Develop Office 2007 knowledgebase self-help files
• Provide communication tool for early adopters and technical staff
• Compile training needs and resolve isolated issues with existing Office 2003 applications and documents
• Develop training program and documentation
• Communicate with discipline lab coordinators to determine migration paths
• Microsoft self-help training is available (see training section below) and support is limited

Deployment Phase

• Deploy Office 2007 to public labs
• Deploy FY09 workstation upgrades with Office 2007 on a voluntary basis
• Training program for faculty and staff

• Voluntary upgrades for those whose hardware meets standards
• Any new workstations purchased in FY09 will come with Office 2007 standard
