The IT Group offers IP based video conferencing services for KSC faculty and staff use in the IT Group Learning Center located in Elliot Hall and in Science 101. Our Tandberg video conferencing hardware allows for face to face communication and viewing of presentation materials with remote sites which are also equipped with compatible systems. Our systems use the H.323 standard.

To allow for the best opportunity for a successful video conference it is important that a test call be made a few days before the actual event. This will provide an opportunity to work out technical problems that may arise at either location.

It is also recommended that your group have a designee to learn the basic controls of the system for aiming the camera, muting/un-muting the microphones and changing what sources are displayed etc. It is strongly recommended that this person schedule a time for training prior to the event.

With those technical considerations in mind we ask that you provide at least 2 weeks notice when scheduling a video conference.
