The IT Group provides several facilities and services in support of campus media needs. These include equipment loans and support of standard media equipment in classrooms, installation and maintenance of classroom technology, the Campus TV System, a 16-channel closed-circuit cable TV network for distribution of video programs to residence halls and study areas, web based presentations, videoconferencing, and campus event support, including equipment and video and audio recording.

Classroom Technology
Faculty needs for digital/video/computer projection are being met with the combination of our media-enhanced classrooms and the faculty laptop initiative.

Equipment is available for circulation and may be used without charge by the faculty, staff and students of Keene State College for academic purposes. Academic purposes are defined as activities related to classroom instruction, faculty research, course-related projects and administrative support. Once the equipment is in the hands of the borrower, it becomes the borrower's responsibility for the period of the loan. If training in the operation of any media equipment is required, please call the HelpDesk at x82532 for an appointment. Operation manuals are available for all media equipment. A 48-hr notice is required to confirm equipment availability.

Equipment reservation requests from faculty, staff and students should be completed using the online request form. (Request forms include a list of available equipment.) Student borrowers are required to get a signature from a supervising faculty member in order to pick-up an equipment loan at the HelpDesk. An official signature form is provided for printing once the student has completed the online request form.

CTV (Campus TV System) CTV is a cable TV Network for distribution of video programs to classrooms, residence halls and study areas across campus. It consists of two programming sources; Channels 2 through 62 come from Time Warner Cable and Channels 70 through 78 are used for campus programs. Program sources include: videotape in all formats, laser disc, 'off-air' satellite sources, live programs from the TV Studio, a sports info channel and a general campus info channel. Programs can be viewed in a classroom setting, by specific groups, or by individuals. Viewing can occur in a number of locations, including residence halls, classrooms, or in individual meeting rooms. Contact the HelpDesk 358-2532 for programming and distribution requests.
