Saving/Exporting Bb Course Content
Saving content from an older Bb course for use in a recent course listing.

  1. Click on the Control Panel of the course with the content you would like to save.
  2. Click the Export Course tool in the "Course Options" box in the lower left-hand corner
  3. Click the Export icon in the upper left (The Archive icon can be used to save content as well.)
  4. Select content by left-clicking/checking the appropriate boxes (I suggest checking off all of the options if you are unsure what you may need)
  5. Click the Submit button.
  6. You will receive an Export Course page that states "This action has been successfully queued. An email will be sent when the process is complete." Once you receive the email it will state that "The operation has completed. The file may be downloaded from the Control Panel."
  7. You will need to go back into the Control Panel of that course and click the Export Course tool. You will see the Export File under the File Name section of that screen. (It will look like this: ExportFile_NCLL-200-N1C-FA05_20060818040805.zip)
  8. Click on the file name and choose Save in the File Download box to save it to your computer. It will save a Zip file to your computer (a folder with a zipper on it).
Importing Blackboard Content
Import content saved on a personal or KSC computer to an existing Bb course.
  1. Click on the Control Panel of the course you would like to import previously saved Blackboard course content.
  2. Click on Import Package (lower left of screen in the "Course Options" box).
  3. Click on the Browse button then select the Zip file (folder with a zipper on it) that you saved on your computer from another Blackboard course.
  4. Select the items that you would like to import into the new course (this is where you can choose the appropriate content to import or just select them all and remove files within the course as needed).
  5. Click the OK button (scroll down to see it).
