Alcohol Violations
[Note: Asterisks (*) refer to minor violations.]
First time violation of Conduct Violations 4.12 or 4.14.
- Educational Sanction other than RLP-Under The Influence
First time minor violation, which includes: Conduct Violations 4.2, 4.3, 4.4, 4.9, 4.11, or 4.13 * or second violation of 4.12 or 4.14.
- College Probation for 3 months and Referred Learning Program (RLP)-Under The Influence
Second incident of any of the minor violations (listed above)* or third violation of 4.12 or 4.14.
- College Probation for 3 months, RLP-Under The Influence if this is first violation of 4.12 or 4.14, CHOICES with the AOD Counselor if it is second incident of the minor violations.
First violation of Conduct Violations 4.5, 4.6, 4.7, or 4.8.
- College Probation for 6 months semesters, the first of which will include the Conditions that the student will be suspended from the College for at least one semester if they are found responsible for such violation and that the student is not in good standing with the College, and an Educational Sanction to be named later.
First violation of Conduct Violations 4.10.
- College Probation for 6 months, the first of which will include the Conditions that the student will be suspended from the College for at least one semester if found responsible for such violation and that the student is not in good standing with the College, and also BASICS with the Coordinator of Wellness Education and Promotion.
Third minor violation (listed above)* or fourth violation of 4.12 or 4.14.
- College Probation for at least 3 months, including the Conditions that any alcohol or drug violation during this Probation will result in being suspended from the College for at least one full semester and that the student is not in good standing with the College, a meeting with the AOD Counselor, to set up participation in Monadnock Adolescent Treatment Initiative (MATI). Failure to complete MATI and any recommended treatment program will result in suspension from the College for at least one full semester.
Fifth violation of 4.12 or 4.14, fourth minor violation (listed above)*, or second violation of 4.10.
- Disciplinary Suspension for at least one full semester, College Probation for 6 months after their return, including the Conditions that the student is not in good standing with the College, assessment and treatment by a Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor during the suspension, documentation of the assessment and treatment with re-application to the College, and upon re-admission, meetings with a number of College staff to assist with the student’s return to the College.
Second violation of 4.5, 4.6, 4.7, or 4.8.
- Disciplinary Suspension for at least one full semester, College Probation for 6 months after their return, including the Conditions that the student is not in good standing with the College, assessment and treatment by a Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor during the suspension, and documentation of the assessment and treatment with re-application to the College.
Controlled Substance Violations
[Note: Double asterisks (**) refer to violations involving marijuana; triple asterisks (***) refer to violations involving other controlled substances.]
First time violation of Conduct Violations 5.1, 5.2, or 5.4, if associated with marijuana**.
- College Probation for 3 months and Referred Learning Program (RLP)-Marijuana.
Second incident of any of 5.1, 5.2, or 5.4** or first time violation of Conduct Violations 5.1, 5.2, or 5.4, if associated with any drug other than marijuana***.
- College Probation for 3 months if second ** violation, or College Probation for first *** violation RLP-Marijuana101 or if this is first *** violation, CHOICES with the AOD Counselor if it is second incident of the minor violations.
Third violation (listed above)** or second *** violation.
- College Probation for at least 3 months, including the Conditions that any alcohol or drug violation during this Probation will result in being suspended from the College for at least one full semester and that the student is not in good standing with the College, a meeting with the AOD Counselor, to set up participation in Monadnock Adolescent Treatment Initiative (MATI). Fourth ** violation (listed above) or third *** violation.
- Disciplinary Suspension for at least one full semester, College Probation for 3 months after their return, including the Condition that the student is not in good standing with the College, assessment and treatment by a Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor during the suspension, documentation of the assessment and treatment with re-application to the College, and upon re-admission, meetings with a number of College staff to assist with the student’s return to the College.
Quiet Hours Violations
First time courtesy (3.3) or quiet hours (3.4) violation.
- Residential Probation for 3 months with the Condition that another violation of the policy will result in being removed and banned from all on-campus housing and an Educational Sanction.
Second incident courtesy (3.3) or quiet hours (3.4) violation.
- Loss of the privilege of living in, and ban from, all on-campus housing, College Probation for 3 months with the Condition that any other such violations will result in Disciplinary Suspension for no less than one full semester.
Third incident courtesy (3.3) or quiet hours (3.4) violation
- Disciplinary Suspension for no less than one full semester.
First 24 hour (3.5) violation (within a given Finals period).
- An Official Reprimand, whether or not they have received one for any other violation.
Second incident of 24 hour quiet hours (3.5) violation (within a given Finals period).
- Residential Probation, including the Condition of loss of College housing for any 24 hour quiet hours violation for the remainder of the current finals period.
Third incident of 24 hour quiet hours (3.5) violation (within given Finals period).
- Loss of College Housing, College Probation for 3 months, with an option for Loss of Privilege-Ban during the Probation.
Failure to Comply Violations
First violation (2.1 or 2.2)
- College Probation for 3 months and an Educational Sanction that focuses on why the student chose not to comply, why any student i expected to, and should comply with such a request, and how they can make changes so that they will act appropriately in the future.
Second violation (2.1 or 2.2)
- College Probation for 3 months, including the Conditions that another such violation will result in being suspended from the College and that the student is not in good standing with the College, and an Educational Sanction that explores the relationship between the student and authority figures, most specifically, the College or Restorative Justice if deemed appropriate.
Third violation (2.1 or 2.2)
- Loss of College Housing (on campus), possibly Loss of Privilege-Ban if student seems unwilling or unable to understand why such behaviors. Loss of Privilege-Ban (off campus) for 6 months. If banned, College Probation for one 6 months beyond the ban.
Personal Injury Violations
First time minor violation (9.1, 9.3, 9.5, 9.6, or 9.7)
- College Probation for 3 months and an Educational Sanction that addresses why the student’s behavior was inappropriate and explores the ways in which it negatively affect other members of the community or Restorative Justice if deemed appropriate.
First time violation (9.2, 9.4, or 9.11)
- Disciplinary Suspension for no less than one full semester and upon their return, College Probation, which includes the Condition that they will be disciplinarily dismissed from the College if they are found responsible for a similar violation, for no less than 6 months.
First time serious violation or second time minor violation (9.1, 9.3, 9.5, 9.6, or 9.7)
- College Probation for 6 months, including the Conditions of that the student will be suspended for at least one semester for any similarbehaviors, not just violations and the student is not in good standing with the College, and an Educational Sanction that explores the reasons behind why the student acted the way they did, what the affect was or could have been on other individuals or the community as a whole, and what their behavior says about them as a person or Restorative Justice for a first time serious violation if deemed appropriate.
Third time minor violation or second time serious violation (9.1, 9.3, 9.5, 9.6, and 9.7)
- Disciplinary Suspension for at least one full semester, College Probationfor 3 months after their return including the Condition that the student is not in good standing with the College, assessment and treatment by a counselor or therapist during the suspension, documentation of the assessment and treatment with re-application to the College, and, upon re-admission, meetings with a number of College staff to assist with the student’s return to the College.
