Manufacturing Partners' Scholarship Program

Manufacturing Partners’ Scholarship Program

Keene State College is committed to working with our Manufacturing Partners to educate and prepare today’s students to be tomorrow’s business leaders. This is a long-term, collaborative effort that will benefit students and programs at the College, help support the growth and success of our Manufacturing Partners, and strengthen New Hampshire’s economy.

In support of these objectives, Keene State College is pleased to announce the creation of the Manufacturing Partners’ Scholarship Program. This Program, created in 2014 in consultation with Keene State’s Manufacturing Partners, is designed to support the education and development of qualified students who wish to pursue careers in a manufacturing business by:

  • Selecting promising students to become Scholarship recipients (“Manufacturing Scholars”) during their freshman and sophomore years
  • Working with Manufacturing Scholars beginning their sophomore year to help them understand and articulate their interests and goals, develop a plan of study, and learn more about the range of career paths that they might pursue
  • Working with Manufacturing Partners to promote student mentoring and to identify appropriate experiential learning opportunities such as internships, co-ops, projects and research (note: Manufacturing Partners are under no obligation to hire any Manufacturing Scholars)
  • Providing merit-based scholarship support to each Manufacturing Scholar to ease the financial burden of completing college

Our goal is that the Manufacturing Scholars will be a qualified and attractive pool of prospective employees for our Manufacturing Partners.

Interested businesses, as well as Keene State freshmen and sophomores should contact Daniel Henderson at corporaterelations@keene.edu.
