Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management
Keene State College invites nominations and applications for the newly established position of Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management. The College is seeking an experienced Enrollment Management professional with an extensive and successful record of meeting new student enrollment goals and improving retention and graduation rates while providing a visionary and collaborative work environment throughout the campus and community.
The College and the Greater Keene Community: Set in the beautiful New England city of Keene, at the foot of Mount Monadnock, Keene State College is the public liberal arts college of New Hampshire. The institution focuses on rigorous academic programs and a tradition of small classes, faculty-student research and creative projects, and community service. With a budget of $120 million, it offers 48 undergraduate majors and selected graduate degrees through three schools: Arts and Humanities, Sciences and Social Sciences, and Professional and Graduate Studies. The College is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and is a member of NCAA Division III athletics. This is an exciting time for the College, with a new president and an incoming new provost and vice president for student affairs and enrollment management.
Reporting to the Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, the Associate Vice President will be the primary enrollment professional overseeing the Office of Admissions, Office of Financial Aid, and the Office of Academic and Career Advising. The Provost and the Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management will be evaluating the addition of the Registrar’s Office and the Aspire Program (Trio Programs) to this unit during the coming year. The AVP will have a collaborative and collegial interpersonal work style which will enable connections across the college. The successful candidate must leverage knowledge and understanding of changing demographics to drive how Keene State College will recruit, and to ensure the success of students from diverse backgrounds. Further, the AVP will be responsible for analysis of regional, national, and global market trends as well as current and anticipated demands for particular programs.
The Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management will have at least seven years of progressively responsible leadership experience in higher education enrollment management; a master’s degree; demonstrated success in developing, evaluating, and improving recruitment, enrollment, financial aid, and retention from a data-driven perspective including the use of social media and information technology; proven success in creating, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive enrollment, recruitment, and communication plans; and experience leading a performance-driven enrollment and retention management team and supervising complex units in higher education; experience in financial aid to develop enrollment and retention strategies through leveraging initiatives and knowledge of best practices in the efficient use of resources is expected.
