Storytelling for Children brings together innovative educators, authors, and performers who inspire audiences with their tales on the stage, in the classroom, and at conferences around the world. After the keynote address by Laura Simms, participants go to small-group workshops, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. At 3 p.m., everyone is invited to a public storytelling session featuring the day’s speakers. The nonrefundable fee of $90 covers all of the day’s events. You may reserve a cafeteria lunch for an additional $6 at the Zorn Dining Commons on campus. Books and recordings by participants will be on sale throughout the day, courtesy of Toadstool Bookshop in Keene. Middle and high school students are welcome; groups accompanied by a teacher may receive a group rate. Call 413-498-4484 for specifics. To receive continuing education credit for your participation, you may register for a half credit (.5 CEU) for $25. This fee must be paid on the day of the conference. Sign-language interpreters will be available at the conference. For other accommodations for a disability, please call Mary Mayshark-Stavely (413-498-4484) at least two weeks before the event. |
