The concert will include dramatic and bril liant concerti by Alessandro Marcello and Henri Tomasi\, Bohuslav Martinu' s witty “Sonatina”\, “Paths”\, an ethereal work for trumpet alone by Toru Takamitsu\, and Edvard Grieg's mystical and heartfelt song cycle “Haugtussa”.\n\nRecently appointed to the faculties of both Keene Stat e College and Plymouth State University\, Boston-based freelance trumpeter Fred Sienkiewicz enjoys a varied career performing solo\, chamber\, and o rchestral music throughout New England. He has performed with the Nashua S ymphony\, Vermont Symphony\, Cape Cod Symphony\, North Country Chamber Pla yers\, Bala Brass\, Majestic Brass\, and Epic Brass.
