Disability Services

The Office of Disability Services (ODS) is where Keene State College students with documented disabilities can arrange those accommodations and academic services provided under Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, which enable equal access to academic and campus programs and activities. Depending on the nature of the disability, these accommodations may include:

  • alternative testing
  • note taking
  • texts on tape
  • accessible living
  • classroom adjustments

Eligibility for services can be determined by meeting with ODS staff.

For additional information about preparing for postsecondary education for students with disabilities see Postsecondary Education: Know Your Rights and Responsibilities, published by the U.S. Department of Education.

Our Mission
The Office of Disability Services provides services to students with disabilities to ensure that all activities and programs are accessible. Through partnerships with students, faculty and staff, we promote self-awareness, self-determination and self-advocacy to provide opportunities for academic success. We seek to create a comprehensively accessible environment where students are viewed on the basis of ability rather than disability.

The office is located in the Elliot Center on the first floor of Elliot Hall and is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more information contact Jane Warner at jwarner@keene.edu or 603-358-2354.
