  • Dr. Lila C. Murphy '52 Women and Leadership Lecture Series
    The subject matter for this lecture series shall be Women and Leadership. Dr. Lila Murphy received her bachelor's and master's degrees from Keene State College and worked for the New Hampshire Department of Education for 15 years. She was an active member of the KSC Alumni Association, participated frequently in Reunion and Golden Circle events and was the 1972 recipient of the KSC Alumni Achievement Award. She had a distinguished career as professor and chairwoman of the Department of Individual and Family Studies at the University of Delaware, where she was responsible for the creation of the first Ph.D. program in the school's history. Her teaching and research focused on women and leadership and she was a lifelong advocate for students wherever she taught.
  • James D. Ewing World Affairs Lecture Endowment
    From 1954 to 1993, James D. Ewing was the owner and publisher of "The Keene Sentinel", an award-winning daily newspaper of the Monadnock region. During his years as publisher, he successfully campaigned for a wide range of local and state-level causes including environmental protection, freedom of information, and public services for the poor. He displayed a lifelong dedication to raising the standards of journalism at home and abroad, advocating for strong news coverage, open-meeting laws and fairness in reporting. The purpose of this endowment shall be to provide permanent financial support to Keene State College for the annual James D. Ewing World Affairs Lectures, which will bring a speaker to the College each year to address current public or world affairs issues. In keeping with Jim's strong interest in linking the Monadnock community to the wider world, the Monadnock community will joining the College community as audience and public for the speaker.
  • KEA International Education Endowment
    This fund was created to promote international education at Keene State College and to support the College's participation in the Occasional Lecturer Program of the Council for International Exchange of Scholars and the KSC/Fulbright International Exchange Program.
  • Class of 1939 International Education Endowment
    This fund was created to promote international education at Keene State College and to support the College's participation in the Occasional Lecturer Program of the Council for International Exchange of Scholars and the KSC/Fulbright International Exchange Program.
  • Roberta F. Roos Annual Art and Theatre Arts Lecture Endowment
    This lecture was establish by Peter Roos, in memory and honor of his mother, who was an accomplished artist and expressed creativity in all aspects of her life. She spent 26 years in London, England where she became an avid theatre enthusiast. The purpose of this endowment is to establish and annual educational lecture to benefit the Art Department and Theatre Arts and Dance offered free and open to the public. Funds shall be used for speaker fees, room and board, transportation, publicity and other related expenses.
