Book Funds
- Marion Frost Hudson '53 Memorial Book Fund Endowment
This fund was established by faculty, students, alumni and friends in honor of Marion Frost Hudson. Marion was an instructor at Keene State College in the English Department for 35 years of which the Children's Literature course became her special interest. The books to be selected should be those winning awards such as the Caldecott, Newbury Prize and New York Times Award. The books are to be given to the College Library to be catalogued and used by student who are preparing to teach.
- Earle Jenkins '27 Memorial Book Fund Endowment
This fund was established in tribute to the excellent education provided Earle F Jenkins while he was a student at Keene State College and to provide support for acquisition of books and other resource materials that intend to become part of the permanent collection of the Mason Library.
- Ruth and Malcolm Keddy Environmental Book Fund
In 1999 the fund was created by alumni, faculty and friends in memory of Professor Malcolm H. Keddy and is for the purpose of purchasing books for the Keddy Environmental Library located at the Mason Library.
- Harry Preston Book Fund Endowment
This fund was created by a gift from Frederick J. Simmons to establish a fund in honor of Harry B. Preston, a member of the KSC Faculty from 1929 to 1949. This fund will be used to purchase books or other research materials dealing with New Hampshire and housed at Mason Library. This is in tribute to Harry Preston's great interest in New Hampshire Resources.
- Franklyn C. Redfern Memorial Book Fund Endowment
This endowment was established in honor of his father by Leo and Edmonde Redfern as an award to acquire books and other reference materials dealing with labor, labor law, work, unions, labor economics, history of labor, the sociology and psychology of labor, labor movements such as social democracy, socialism, mutual aid association, labor cooperatives and related materials. The Librarian shall coordinated the acquisitions.
- Franklin C. Roberts '24 Geography Book Fund Endowment
In 1962 the Class of 1926 established this fund to purchase geography books annually in the name of Franklin C. Roberts.
- Bernice D. Turner '16 Memorial Book Fund Endowment
This endowment in 1972 by members of the Turner family in recognition of Bernice A. Davis Turner's deep interest in children and in their education. The purpose of this fund is to purchase books in the general field of children's literature. These books shall be chosen by the instructor(s) of the Children's Literature course and be placed in the Mason Library for use by students and teachers.
