- Environmental Studies and Chemistry Annual Award
The purpose of this award shall be to provide recognition and financial assistance to a current student at Keene State College who is either a Chemistry major and Environmental Studies minor OR an Environmental Studies major and a Chemistry minor. Consideration for this award shall be given to a current student at Keene State College who with a GPA of at least 3.0. This award will be renewable for up to four years.
- Markem-Imaje Scholarship: Supporting Exceptional Promise in Chemistry and TDS
This award was established in 2012 to commemorate the creation of the
Technology, Design, and Safety Center at Keene State College, and
recognizes outstanding students who demonstrate excellence and
passion in Chemistry, Sustainable Product Design & Innovation, or
Safety Studies.
The purpose of this scholarship is to recognize and foster excellence
in the fields of chemistry, sustainable product design & innovation,
and safety studies by providing scholarship support to students
demonstrating distinction in their respective fields during the
2013-2014 and 2014-2015 academic years. During each of these academic
years, three recipients will be selected, with one recipient majoring
in chemistry, one recipient majoring in sustainable product design &
innovation, and one recipient majoring in safety studies.
- Emerson and Ruth McCourt Annual Scholarship
This annual scholarship will provide tuition assistance for KSC students. To be eligible, students must be a resident of New Hampshire and have completed at least 50% of the coursework required to attain their diploma, associate or bachelors degree. Priority will be given to students majoring in Mechanical, Electrical, and Nursing programs; students majoring in Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry will also be considered.
- Science Academic Program
The purpose of this fund is to provide discretionary income to support academic initiatives and programs that advance the Sciences at Keene State College through guest speakers, workshops or other initiatives that promote academic excellence.
- Aubrey '62 and Satoko Thomas Scholarship Endowment
This endowment was established in 1991 as a gift of Aubrey Stephen Thomas Jr. '62, and his wife, Satoko Nagaoka Thomas. Full-time students who have demonstrated outstanding promise and who have been accepted into programs in the areas of biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics and closely related areas, including teacher certification in each of these areas, are eligible to receive this scholarship.
- Maynard C. Waltz Memorial Award Endowment
This endowment was created to perpetuate the memory and qualities of the life of Maynard Waltz, who was a faculty member of Keene State College from 1930 to 1965. He taught both educational psychology and Latin and served as a member and chair of both the education and foreign language departments and retired as professor emeritus. This award endowment shall provide recognition and financial assistance to full time traditional students with junior or senior status who are pursuing a teaching career in secondary science or math education. The student must possess strong academic qualities in science and math, have high motivation to become a teacher, and exhibit qualities of compassion, integrity, citizenship and fairness.
- Dr. Y Scholarship Endowment
This endowment was created in honor of Dr. Stanley Yarosewick "Dr. Y" upon his retirement after 11 years of service to Keene State College. His commitment to public higher education and the students it serves is clearly the hallmark of Dr. Y's career. This scholarship will give preference for first-generation college students who are enrolled in a science curriculum.
