- William L. '57 and Barbara R. Brackett '57 Excellence in Teacher Education Scholarship
Bill and Barbara Brackett met, were married, and began their family while students at Keene Teachers College. Upon graduation from KTC, they moved to Plymouth, NH where Bill taught at the local high school. After two years in Plymouth, the Bracketts moved to Connecticut where both pursued their long and pleasant teaching careers. Upon retirement from the Connecticut Public School System, The Bracketts moved back to New Hampshire in 1994. And since volunteerism is one of their core values, they soon reconnected with Keene State College and could be seen all around campus lending a hand at a variety of KSC athletics and alumni events. Realizing the critical role of exceptional teachers in the classroom, combined with a deep desire to give back to the College that gave them each so much, Bill and Barbara Brackett chose to create a Teacher Education Scholarship to recognize and support Keene State College's brightest and most promising future teachers.
