Doug Nelson Outstanding Concert Band Member AwardThis annual award was established in 2006 in honor of Doug Nelson's retirement. Doug had been with Keene State College for 35 years. In the 25 years that the Redfern Art Center has been open, over 350,000 people have attended performances, art exhibits, taken classes, view films, created works of arts etc. Doug was responsible for bringing many of those people to the Art Center. His dedication to the creative process and his commitment to excellence in teaching have been intrumental in making the Redfern a vibrant home for the arts on campus and in the region. This award will be given each spring to a concert band member selected by a ballot of his or her fellow musicians. Alphabetical Listing of restricted funds
