Capital projects are “brick and mortar” fund-raising campaigns to renovate existing campus facilities or to create new ones. Every two years Keene State College identifies a new Capital Project to feature in the KSC Fund along with Unrestricted Giving for programs.
Recent Capital projects include the Appian Gateway, the College Camp on Wilson Pond, the Safety Centers at KSC, and the Soccer Stadium Kick-In Challenge., all of which were funded through the generosity of KSC alumni, corporations, and other friends.
In the fall of 2003, Keene State launched its most ambitious construction project ever and its largest capital campaign.
The Keene State Science Center is a $23 million project under construction and scheduled for completion by August 2004. Construction involves a significant addition to the current Science building and a total renovation of the existing building. The project is being funded by a $19 million appropriation from the state of New Hampshire, and a $4 million capital campaign “Windows into Science, Portals to the World.”
Capital projects are an effective way for the College to support the expanding needs of our students and enhance one of the most beautiful campuses in New England.
