Wednesday, January 24. 2007 James Baldwin - Down From the Mountaintop with Tony Award nominee Calvin Levels.
An Origional Solo Play deplicting the rich and impassioned life of the esteemed novelist,
playwright, essayist and civil rights activist James Baldwin.
Calvin Levels' spirited portrayal of Baldwin has garnered rave reviews throughout
the United States, captivating and inspiring diverse audiences. Mr. Levels' play
insightfully captures the spirit and essence of James Baldwin, powerfully
communicating Baldwin's main messages of love, equality and social justice. Alumni Recital Hall,7:30 pm.

The New Zorn Dining Commons
There will be Soul Food options at each station in the Commons for the evening meal. Sodexo will prepare the food and also offer an educational piece as to what is being served; such as history, origin of spices, recipe, etc. At 6:00 PM a gospel singing group will perform in the Commons. Cost for student, faculty and staff who do not have a dining card is $6.50 for the whole thing! The entire campus community is invited.
