Promotional Pieces

Op-Ed Pieces
The College Relations Office places opinion pieces written by KSC faculty and staff members in several newspapers around the state. The articles appear on the op-ed (opposite the editorial) or commentary page of newspapers. Topics have ranged from U.S.-Japan relations to earthquakes to local town meetings. Each piece should be 650 to 800 words and may be edited for style. If you have an opinion piece, contact Susan Peery at 358-2122 or by e-mail.

Media Experts List
The College Relations Office maintains a list of people who are available to comment on their fields of academic expertise and specializations outside their academic fields. This list is distributed periodically to media representatives throughout New England.

Keene State Today
Keene State Today is a quarterly magazine, mailed to approximately 18,000 alumni and friends of Keene State College. The magazine focuses on general interest articles by alumni, faculty, and staff, and campus events and class notes. Faculty and staff are encouraged to discuss story ideas with Susan Peery, editor, at 358-2122, or by e-mail.

KSC Newsline
KSC Newsline is a monthly electronic newsletter sent to alumni and friends of Keene State, offering news, views, and connections for the KSC community.

Hometown Press Releases
The College Relations Office sends many press releases about students' achievements to their hometown newspapers. These achievements may be election to student government office, induction in an honor society, or some special award, such as the President's Writing Award. If you are an advisor to a student group or honor society or know of a student who has achieved some honor, let us know.
