Students in Marsha Hewitt's Intermediate Graphic Design and Robert Kostick's Graphic Design Portfolio classes were invited to create designs for a Centennial celebration logo, to be used extensively from July 2008 through December 2009.

Thirty-seven students submitted three concepts to be judged on appropriateness of style, understanding of the theme, and creative approach. One idea from each student was selected for development into a logo based on the following criteria:

• The logo should create visual awareness of the College¹s 100th anniversary.
• It should work well in several sizes (business cards to banners).
• It should be appropriate for several audiences including students, alumni, faculty/staff, trustees, legislators, public.
• It should portray Keene State as a dynamic institution, committed to academic excellence, proud of its past and confident of its future.
• It should be celebratory.

The Centennial Steering Committee has selected the design below as the winner.
