Continuing Education students at Keene State College share the same privileges as full-time students. Numerous services and facilities are open to you so that you can enjoy a complete college experience. You may choose to join a student organization. KSC offers more than 80 student organizations including academic clubs, fraternities, sororities, and recreational sports. Here is a list of College services and facilities: The Student Financial Services area handles billing and financial aid processes. This office is located on the first floor of Elliot Hall and can be reached at (603)358-2263. The Counseling Center offers a full range of mental health services during the fall and spring semesters. Telephone (603)358-2437 or in after-hours emergency, (603)358-2436. The Curriculum Materials Library makes available a wide range of curriculum and professional development materials for students in education methods courses and for educators throughout the state. The Elliot Center houses the offices of Academic and Career Advising, Aspire/Link, the Office of Disabilities Services and the Registrar's Office. To make an appointment with anyone in the Elliot Center, call (603)358-2500 or drop by the center on the first floor of Elliot Hall. ID Cards: A KSC student ID card is required to check books out of Mason Library, for admission to facilities such as computer labs, or to rent equipment at Spaulding Gymnasium. Also, ID cards secure reduced admission to films, athletic events, programs at the Arts Center on Brickyard Pond, and discounts from participating local vendors. Students may obtain an ID card at the Continuing Education Office with proof of registration. Students who wish to obtain a photo ID card may stop by the Campus ID Office in the lobby of the Dining Commons to have a picture taken and card produced. Your first ID is free. Replacement for a lost card is $25. In addition to the services listed above, ID cards provide the opportunity to access the following services: soda and snack machines equipped with card readers (cash-to-card machines are located in the Food Court area of the Student Center and in Elliot Hall in front of the Bursar's Office); and Keene Kash for use in the Food Court in the Student Center. Office hours are 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. weekdays during the academic year (closed for lunch 1:45 - 2:30 p.m.) or by appointment. During the summer, the ID Office is available by appointment." KSC Bookstore: The KSC Bookstore is located on the first floor of the Student Center. Textbooks for courses, computers and software, notebooks and school supplies, clothing with the Keene State imprint, and other sundries may be purchased here. For more information visit the Online Bookstore. Mason Library: The Wallace E. Mason Library offers books, materials, and services in support of the College's undergraduate and graduate curricula. Math and Writing Centers: The Math Center provides support for all 100-level math courses, as well as for the math associated with any other course. It is located at 88 Winchester Street. Phone: (603)358-2523. The Writing Center is the place to go on campus to receive support and direct assistance with any aspect of writing. It is located on the second floor of Elliot Hall. Phone: (603)358-2412. Writing Center services are not available during summer sessions, and Math Center hours are limited during the summer sessions. Parking: All students (even those only on campus during the evenings), faculty/staff, and guests are required to have a permit to park on campus and they must park in the area designated by their permit. Parking permits must be purchased from iParq online (destination: Keene). There is a $4.95 shipping and handling fee for each decal. Redfern Arts Center: Visiting artists of national and international fame, as well as students, faculty, staff, and alumni in productions by the Keene State Departments of Music, Theatre, and Dance regularly appear on the Arts Center's three stages. Students can buy tickets at reduced rates by showing a valid Keene State ID. For more information call (603)358-2168. Recreational Sports/Recreation Center: In order to use the Recreation Center, Continuing Education students must purchase memberships. Members are permitted to use the recreational facilities including: the BodyWorks fitness center, jogging/walking track, recreation gymnasium, swimming pool, and racquetball court. Continuing Education students will also be able to participate in intramural sports and aerobics classes as part of the membership fee. Membership fees are equivalent to what full-time and part-time matriculated students pay in their general fees; Continuing Education students do not pay student fees towards the Recreation Center or the Recreational Sports program. For more information, call the Recreational Sports office at (603)358-2514. Thorne-Sagendorph Art Gallery: The Thorne-Sagendorph Art Gallery maintains a year-round schedule of shows and exhibits. It is located on Wyman Way. For more information call (603)358-2720. Young Student Center: The Student Center is a community center for KSC and the greater Monadnock region. The center's program fosters student development through involvement in clubs and organiztions, community and volunteer service, student employment, and self government. The center also provides services such as the Bookstore, the Owl's Roost convenience store, a food court, the Night Owl Cafe, the mailroom and studnet mailboxes, an ATM and vending machines, a game room, and various longes and meeting rooms. The center also houses the Information Desk, the student organization offices, and the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs.
