Pre-Admission Process

One of the roles the Division of Continuing Education plays at Keene State is to prepare students for formal admission to the College by helping the student improve his/her GPA and skills in the classroom.

As a CE student, you can declare your intent to matriculate (formally enroll through the Admissions Office) by indicating your interest in KSC’s pre-admission process on the CE registration form. Although the pre-admission process does not offer financial aid or guarantee admission to the College, a CE student with pre-admission status will receive information from the Admissions office about enrolling at Keene State and academic advising to prepare for formal admission later on.

There are several reasons why you should matriculate:

  • If you take six or more credits per semester, you may be eligible for financial aid.
  • Transfer credits may be evaluated and applied to your transcript.
  • Credits from CLEP exams may be applied to your transcript.
  • You are not susceptible to degree requirement changes.
  • Life experience credit may be applied to your transcript.
  • You are eligible for early course selection, housing, and athletic participation.
  • You must be matriculated to receive a degree.
