ADHD For Educators (EDUC-595)

This course presents current theory and research about Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder for the education professional. Teachers and counselors will gain knowledge of the neurobiological nature of the disorder in order to provide support and intervention for students. The second day of the course focuses on the application of the neurobiology and executive function for the accommodation and coaching. This course presents the theories and research of Russell Barkley and the executive function materials developed by Peg Dawson and Richard Guare. Meets 3/28 & 3/29
