Global Challenges (IISOC-399)

A number of global issues present challenges for leaders and citizens in the Twenty-first Century. These include: population, resources, technology, education, economic integration, social conflict, and governance. This course will introduce students to scholarly analysis of these topics and enable students to become informed and engaged global citizens. Students will learn through reading, attending class, and presenting their own perspectives on the sustainability of the status quo in these seven critical areas.
