Facets of Evil (IIPHIL-399)

This course will seek to find an understanding of evil by taking an interdisciplinary approach involving philosophy, literature and film. By relating philosophical theories to portrayals of evil from both past and present, the class will not only attempt to gain a better insight into the human fascination and repulsion to this experience, but be engaged in discovering ethical responses to what characterizes the nature of evil today.
