Intensive Seminar in French (IHFR-199)
Whether you're planning a week-end in Montréal or a summer in Provence, learning some basic French will enhance your experience.. This course adapts "late immersion" pedagogy as outlined by the French government in the instruction of everyday spoken French. Our overarching goal is not for you to learn a bunch of grammatical rules - many of which a native speaker of French never masters. Rather, we aim for you to develop the skills to "personalize" your French and to acquire a working knowledge and useful command of the language. [Note: This course does NOT meet the A&H language requirement]
