Transitions & Inequality (SOC-490)

This class will study the theoretical underpinnings of political and economic systems. Then, we will examine areas most impacted by recent social change including Central and Eastern Europe, Latin America, China and the Middle East. Emphasis will be placed on inequality and stratification systems before and after transition.
