Respiratory Protection (SAFE-495)

This course covers the requirements for the establishment, maintenance, and monitoring of a respirator program. Topics include terminology, OSHA standards, NIOSH certification, and medical evaluation recommendations. Program highlights include laboratories on respirator selection, qualitative fit testing, and the use of a large array of respiratory and support equipment for hands-on training and demonstrations. This course includes both quantitative and qualitative fit testing methods. Participants gain the skills necessary to perform respirator fit tests. Tuition plus $100 fee for materials and lunches
