Sp. Top.: the U.S. Congress (POSC-390)
This course is a comprehensive examination of the legislative branch. Topics include: representation and elections, institutional design, rules and procedures, committee power, party leadership, and inter-branch relations. Students will be introduced to major research techniques and theoretical approaches used by congressional scholars. Prerequisite: ISPOSC 210 is recommended but not required.
