Baseball Through the Years (IQL-101)
This course will teach you the basics of numerical literacy using data and stories from the world of Baseball. In this course we will use descriptive statistics and mathematical modeling to read, interpret, and analyze baseball data. You will have an opportunity to learn some of the history of this rich game, its teams and its players. Woven throughout the course is instruction on the use of selected software applications and the campus computing environment. Assignments will include case studies, written reports and reflections, computer-based and oral presentations and spreadsheets.
