Weimar Culture and Cinema (HIST-390)

This class will explore the turbulent period in German history between the world wars through iconic films such as Metropolis, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, Pandora's Box, and The Blue Angel. Students will watch films, read critical essays on the history of German cinema in this period, and write papers (different paper options will be offered).
