Chemistry for Safety (INSAFE-199)
Lecture (3.5hrs/wk) with lab (1.5hrs/wk) course introducing chemical theories and principles employing quantitative approaches to problem solving, including the formulation and conveyance of scientific ideas and data. Descriptive chemistry of selected elements and compounds is presented with appreciable emphasis applied towards occupational safety and health. Basic algebra skills necessary. Fall/Spring.
