Auditing a CourseStudents may choose to audit a course to assess their capacity to do college-level work or to explore an area of interest. Students who audit courses do not receive credit for those courses. Class participation is determined by the instructor and auditors are admitted on a “space available” basis with the instructor’s written permission. The student does not have to take examinations and does not receive credit for the course. Audit fees for most lecture courses are 50 percent of regular tuition. Laboratory/field studies, studio, computer programming and skill courses are 100 percent of regular tuition. Auditing students DO NOT pay Continuing Education fees. Students who switch from audit to credit must provide proof of payment to the Registrar’s Office in order for the change to be processed. Students may switch from audit to credit within the first two weeks of classes with the instructor’s permission and must provide payment of full tuition and CE fees for the change to be processed. For more information on auditing classes, please call 603-358-2290 for details. |
