Directed and written by Louis Malle. Based on Malle's experience, this film documents the story of Julien, a Catholic schoolboy, and his friend Jean, a Jew being sheltered by a courageous French priest. After an act of betrayal, the Gestapo deports Jean and the priest to Auschwitz. Julien must say goodbye to his friend - and to his childhood. In French with English subtitles. (JHS/MS+). Color.
